One of our favorite restaurants on this trip. Lovely and homey atmosphere. Also a large outdoor space for good weather. Kind and helpful service. And delicious food! The risotto was heavenly and the venison stew with polenta was well prepared and delicious. Save room for the desserts!

Wonderful dinner at Trattoria Due Piccioni in Stresa. The restaurant has a cozy and authentic atmosphere, slightly away from the busiest tourist streets, which makes the experience even more pleasant. The food was excellent, with fresh ingredients and beautifully prepared dishes inspired by local Piedmont cuisine. Everything we tried was flavorful and well balanced, especially the pasta and regional specialties. The wine list was also very good and reasonably priced. Service was friendly, attentive, and professional, making us feel truly welcome throughout the evening. A fantastic trattoria if you want to enjoy high-quality Italian cuisine in a relaxed and charming setting. Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful restaurant. It is only a short distance from the more touristy places, but the relatively short menu immediately told us this was a gem. We had the most delicious pasta dishes followed by a selection of local cheeses and a good bottle of red. Very nice service. We will return.

Great food. We ate in the piazza outside which we didn’t even realize belonged to the restaurant. Perfect plate for a late night pasta. Music played from a bar nearby but faint enough so you could still hold a conversation over it but have the ambience of Italian house music.

Trattoria Due Piccioni is one of the best places to eat in Stresa. The food is fresh, ingredients cooked really well, good service, with a really nice selection of dishes, just like mama’s food. The location is very cozy and the taste of dishes is heavenly. Would definitely go back!

The best meal we had after a week in Italy. Super cozy place with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly and had great recommendations. I LoVED their French onion soup, I would go back for this alone. The pastas were all very tasty but the lasagna from the socials’s menu was my favourite. Damn this meal was good!

Wow! The food is amazing and the staff are wonderful. Try the local artisan beer (Amleto). I had the starter made of local fish - such flavour! This is possibly the best meal I have had on this Italian break. Next time, I must try the "Birramisu" (like Tiramisu but made with beer, not coffee). Thank you to the two lovely ladies who served us.
